A public higher-education institution with several premises and a large number of users, including students, teaching staff, employees and visitors, each with different access needs.
In 2024 a centrally managed access control system was put in place for the premises.
The approach
The solution uses the same access control platform Codemaker develops for other sectors: locks and devices managed in a web application, with permissions per user, schedules and a log of every access.
Permissions are granted and revoked instantly, with no physical keys to hand out or collect.
Today
The institution has a central view of who enters each space and when, and a history available whenever it is needed.
