Privacy policy

This policy explains how CODEMAKER, Unipessoal Lda. processes personal data collected through this website, for what purposes, on what legal basis and which rights data subjects have. It applies to this website only. Data processed on the platforms Codemaker builds and maintains for its clients is governed by the contracts entered into with each client, in which Codemaker acts as a processor.

2. Data collected

• Contact form: name, email, company and phone (optional), subject and message.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and the date and time of requests, logged by the server for security and abuse prevention.
• Cookies: as described in section 8.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Answering enquiries, proposal and support requests — pre-contractual steps at the data subject's request and consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
• Website security and abuse prevention — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Audience measurement, only if enabled and with prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

Data is not sold, not used for solely automated decisions and not used for advertising without consent.

4. Retention

Contact form messages are emailed to the team and are not stored on the website. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and at most 24 months after the last contact, unless a contractual relationship follows, in which case legal retention periods apply. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.

5. Recipients

Data is processed by Codemaker and by service providers supporting hosting and email delivery, bound by contract to confidentiality and security obligations. Servers are located in the European Union. If the site uses Google reCAPTCHA to block automated submissions, Google receives technical browser data under its own privacy policy.

6. Your rights

You may at any time request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, object to processing and withdraw consent, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. Requests should be sent to info@codemaker.pt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).

7. Security

Codemaker applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration or loss, including encrypted communications, access control, backups and server monitoring.

8. Cookies

This website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work and, only with the visitor's consent, audience measurement or marketing cookies. The choice can be changed at any time under "Cookie preferences" in the footer.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
